Meet Dr Serena Yu, Lead Paediatric Dentist
Dr Serena Yu, DMD, has spent 14 years caring for children from birth through age 18, including prenatal consultations for parents preparing for their newborn’s oral health. She trained at Brown University, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and completed her paediatric specialty at NYU Langone Dental Medicine. She’s a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Paediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Paediatric Dentistry, and the Singapore Society for Paediatric Dentistry.
Her approach is built on prevention rather than treatment: guiding jaw development, building lifelong habits, and creating space for adult teeth to reduce the need for more complex work later in life. For anxious or first-time patients, she eases children in gradually, sometimes a first visit is nothing more than a look with a hand mirror, so your child can see what’s happening before anything else does.

Why Paediatric-Specific Dental Care Matters
Built for Growing Mouths, Not Small Adults
A child’s teeth, jaw, and bite are still developing, decisions made now about spacing, habits, and early decay shape the adult teeth still to come. Dr Serena treats children as children, not scaled-down adults, with treatment planned around how their mouth will keep changing.
Prevention Over Treatment
Every visit is built around heading off problems before they need fixing, sealants before cavities, habit coaching before orthodontics, fluoride before a filling. Less drilling, less anxiety, and fewer visits over your child’s lifetime.
A Calm Start That Lasts a Lifetime
How a child feels about the dentist at five often decides how they feel about it at 25. We take the time first visits need, no rushing, no forcing, so your child grows up seeing the dentist as routine, not something to fear.
