Why It’s Important
-

Natural Appearance
We use tooth-coloured fillings that match your child's smile for a seamless, natural look. The result is a healthy, confident smile.
-

Gentle & Effective
We remove decay gently and conservatively, using techniques designed to keep your child comfortable and relaxed from start to finish.
-

Long-Lasting Protection
Our durable, high-quality materials strengthen teeth and help prevent future decay, keeping your child’s smile healthy for years to come.
What a filling is for
A filling repairs a tooth once decay has broken through the enamel. We clear out the decayed part and rebuild the tooth so your child can keep eating, chewing, and smiling normally. Baby teeth are temporary, but a cavity left untreated can still grow, become painful, or affect the adult tooth underneath, so treating it early is always worth doing.
The tooth-coloured filling process
We numb the area if needed, gently remove the decayed part of the tooth, then rebuild it in layers using a composite resin shade-matched to your child's tooth. Each layer is hardened with a curing light before the next goes on, so the filling bonds tightly and holds its shape from day one.
Aftercare
Fillings are fully set by the time your child leaves the chair, so there's no special diet needed, though we usually suggest avoiding very sticky, hot or hard foods on that tooth for the rest of the day if the area was numbed. Mild sensitivity to hot or cold for a day or two is normal. Ongoing pain isn't, so just call us if that happens.
